PostSubject: 8V8 DEMO TOURNEY   8V8 DEMO TOURNEY I_icon_minitimeFri Mar 27, 2009 11:34 am

The 8v8 Demo Tourney will be a double elimination Tourney. Which means loose 2 games then your out, until the next CA tourney.

The first round of the playoffs will be a best 2 out of 3 match with the top seeded clan getting pick on first Map.

The championship match will be a best 3 out of 5 map. Top seeded clan will have pick of side on first and third map Second seeded clan will picks side on second and forth map.

- MAPS -

Maps –this will be a best of 3 maps using all Socom Small Maps. No Big Maps will be used. As posted in the weekly schedule Home team will have pick of side on first Map Away Team has pick on second Map. The third map side being determined by the most rounds won if a tiebreaker map is needed. All maps will be set at 11 rounds / 4 minutes each round - NO EXCEPTIONS.

-SCHEDULE/STANDINGS-

In the forums there will be a Schedule and Standings section that the EST Staff will keep updated during the tourney. This will be updated after all matches are reported and confirmed by each clan Rep.

Here you will find your clans matches for each week along with the win loss record of each team.

-Scheduling of Wars -

All matches are to be played out each week *which nights to be determined by vote*

All rooms will be made in Canada Servers. (subject to change)

A different Server may be used if this server is full or having any issue.
If this happens it is the Clan Reps from each clan responsibility to insure that both teams are made aware of this change.

In the 8v8 Demo section of the forums there will be a Schedule and Standings section that the EST Staff will keep updated during the 8v8 Demo. This will be updated after all matches are reported and confirmed by each clan Rep.

-REPORTING MATCHES-

It is the responsibility of the CLAN REP to insure that he or she reports there win or confirms a loss in the REPORT WIN/LOSS section of the forums. Each Clan REP has 24 hours after your match to post in the REPORT WIN/LOSS Section of the forums. Failure to do so may result in a forfeit of your match

AN Example of how you are to post your wins or confirm your loss will be posted in this section of the forums. Make sure that as the Clan Rep you use this EXAMPLE to post your clans results. Failure to do so may have your post deleted and a loss given to your clan.

- ROSTERS ?

- Upon being selected as a participating clan all clans MUST submit a 1-roster list of NO LESS than 12 players with no more than 32 players. This is to ensure that all clans, no matter how large or small, compete on an even playing level in regards to available members. All eligible players must sporting the exact same clan tag in wars and that they are on the legal roster submitted to the EST. Players not found on a clan's official roster list are not allowed to participating in a EST Tournament.

-All clans participating in the EST site may only submit one name per player on their active rosters. Any Clan using more than one name per person will be considered a Ringer name and if used or added onto your roster will cause your clan to be removed from the Elite Socom Tournament Site.

Example: On clan the Socom Raiders JoeJoe has another name he uses that is Spanky. Only One of these names can be used on the active tourney Roster.

-Additionally, Clans with Multiple Rosters must have the same Clan NAME. Of course the spelling will not be EXACT, but has to be close enough so it is obvious it IS the same clan.

Example: Clan Battlefield has 3 rosters: BattLefieLd, BattIefieLd, and BattLefieId. This is acceptable. Clan Battlefield with 3 rosters: Battlefield, Regulators, and the Bombers is NOT acceptable.

-Correct spelling is needed on all rosters EXAMPLE: If your players name is L-E-F-T-Y his name must appear that way on your roster. If in a match Lefty comes in the room that name will not be accepted.

-Rosters can only be open to add or remove players Friday thru Monday by The CLAN REPS! Any Rosters updated by anyone that is not an ADMIN, EST STAFF or CLAN REP will have that weeks roster listed as a non-roster and will not be able to war that week.
- Any roster update made Tuesday thru Thursday can only be made by a EST Staff member and must have a reason posted with the change made.

It is the CLAN REPS responsibility to insure the room is made correctly and all players names are on the active clans roster. If both teams green up and start the match then it is played as is and said map is determined agreed upon by both teams. The illegal player can be changed after the map is over. Tourney rules still apply.

If your team aborts a match without the okay from an official EST REF then said team forfeits that map.

If your caught with an Illegal player by an official EST REF your team will receive a loss of round for each round said player is in the match.

-SUBBING-

In this and all EST Tourneys --- The team you start a map with is the team you finish with.

This means you may sub a player in between a map but any player who gets booted or leaves a map once it has started is the only one who can come back into that spot.

This is an 8 vs 8 Tourney but a war may proceed even though it is not “even” as long as there is a minimum of 4 players on each team.

-WEAPON RESTRICTIONS–

All wars must proceed with no ranged explosives. Each team is allowed two GRENADIER and only two SNIPERS per team. Apart from the sniper/s - No scopes are allowed. The rifle laser and red dot scope is permitted..

- The Model 18 and 226 are only allowed by your snipers. Anyone else using them will result in loss of a round.

a. At the beginning of a war, you must designate your team’s snipers for that map. The map must be over in order to change your team’s snipers. If the sniper wishes to drop his rifle for another weapon, they may do that but they cannot use a scope. No one can take his spot as the team’s sniper.

b. Additionally, Each team is allowed two Grenadiers. The Grenadiers is the only one on your team who can carry grenades.

c. RPG, AT4, Claymores are not allowed.

d. All team members can carry Flash or smoke.

-RULES OF GRENADIER -

1. The Grenadier must be named before the match begins.
2. No member from either team may use grenades.
3. Use of grenades by any other team member other than the opposing teams grenadier will have that team lose that round.
4. IF your GRENADIER gets booted in a round and cannot get back in you lose that GRENADIER for that round. If he cant get back in You lose your GRENADIER for the rest of that map and can replace his or her spot before the next map when you get back in the lobby.

-RULES OF SNIPERS-

1. Each team is allowed 2 snipers.
2. Each sniper is to be named before each map.
3. No player is allowed to pick up the snipers weapon. However the designated snipers on each team can pick up the other teams sniper rifle if they want to.
4. Snipers are allowed to use any sniper rifle along with the scope of their choice.
5. If the sniper wishes to drop his rifle for another weapon, they may do that, however, no one can take his spot as the teams sniper.
Snipers can only be changed after a map is completed and the new sniper must be named before the next map starts.
6. IF your SNIPER gets booted in a round and cannot get back in you lose that sniper for that round. If he cant get back in You lose your SNIPER for the rest of that map and can replace his or her spot before the next map when you get back in the lobby..

-ROOM SPECIFICS -

- Home Team clan reps will make all rooms and have selection of side on the second map.
- All matches will be held in Canada Server (Subject to change)
- ALL ROOMS MUST BE MADE 10 minutes before the 9 pm start time.
- Each clan has until 9:10 to get in the room and start the match. (if it is ok with the opposing team to wait longer, then it is acceptable, if its a problem, and they want to go "by the book" then it must be done.)
- Failure to show up will result in a loss.
- Each Clan has 5 minutes between rounds to make changes.
- Failure to green up after the 5 minutes may result in a loss of that map.
- This is to ensure we start all matches on time.
- If the Home team fails to make the room at the times posted for the tourney that team may loss a round or the whole match if this continues with that clan. (this can be bent, not a hardcore rule, just to ensure again that we get things started on time)
- All wars must have room set to Day unless specified as a night map. Friendly fire 'on', no ranged explosives and have the rank set as "open".
- All maps will be set for Best of 11 rounds 4 minutes
- A match may be played with 4 players minimum, no more than 8.
-The team you start a map with is the team you finish it with. If a player gets booted he is the only one that can come back into that map. Subs may only be used after a map is over to replace a player for the next map and can only be from your posted legal roster.
- All disputes within a map will be decided by a EST staff member their decision is final.
- You will record scores based on winning or losing the map as well as final round counts.
- SUBBING: Teams have 5 minutes in between maps to sub out players! This means the team you start a map with is the team you finish that map with. If a player gets booted he/she is the only one that may come back in. If another player from your roster comes in and plays you will forfeit that entire Map.

- All Clan Reps are responsible for reading the General EST Rules and to make sure their clan understands all RULES that are used by the EST, as these rules may pertain to the entire EST site and or this tourneys game play...

- TOURNEY SPECIFIC RULE -SUBJECT TO CHANGE -

- The match may not start until both teams have given the names of there Sniper and Grenadier before each map to the opposite team. If the maps start, and both teams dont know each others Grenadier or Snipers, then they cannot use a Sniper or Grenadier for the entire map.
- Clan Reps only may talk with REF or EST STAFF in room lobby to go over any disputes in match.
- Any player who states in a lobby that there is video tape of an infraction or a violation, and is not able to supply that tape within 24 hours will be suspended for a violation on an honor basis.
- ALL MAPS - 'falling' under the map and being able to go outside the boundaries of the map
- Frostfire - getting on top of anyone of the buildings, or platforms not meant to get to.
- Frostfire - Jumping across to the island boxes in front of terr spawn (climbing up left ladder from terr spawn then jumping on the rail and hopping across on top of the island boxes)
- Crossroads - Getting on top of any roof. Red roof means NO GO.

8. SUBBING: Teams have 5 minutes in between maps to sub out players! This means the team you start a map with is the team you finish that map with. If a player gets booted he/she is the only one that may come back in. If another player from your roster comes in and plays you will forfeit that entire Map.

Under certain circumstances, where a particular map is extremely laggy. Clan reps can message each other to make a mutual decision to remake the room. The round count must begin where it ended in the last map so remaking the room twice over is what must happen.

Once both teams green up and the game starts they are both under agreement with the room and the match will progress. The only way it can be stopped is under extreme lag conditions or if it is stopped in the first round because the map was to be a night or day map and was accidentally made wrong.

AFTER the match, the two 8v8 Demo team Leaders have 15 minutes to discuss the match with the Ref if needed. The winning clan for your match will then report the win/loss and results will be reflected in the tournament bracket updates.

Rules are subject to change during the tourney.
